Belgium in Your Living Room
Some forms of live music seems to be flourishing in
the most intimate settings, so that’s why Live in Your
Living Room organizes concerts... you guessed it... in
your living room. An exceptional project at Eurosonic
Noorderslag is exactly that: for three consecutive days
a number of living rooms in Groningen will be venues
for just such concerts. Every evening, a particular city
is highlighted and on January 15, that will be Ghent.
The concerts start at 20h00 at Gijs van Veldhuizen’s
house, at Noorderbinnensingel 3A in Groningen. Info & tickets: www.liveinyourlivingroom.nl ProgramRye JehuRye Jehu (pronounce: “raai djé hoe”) won the ‘prize of the public’ at De Beloften, a rock contest in Ghent and ended up third at Belgium’s finest, Humo’s Rock Rally 2006. Expect a solid helping of rock ‘n roll, a slice of surf, a dash of melodrama and some homemade noisecake with a topping of psychedelic cream.
