RAMAN.

RAMAN. unleashes raw emotion through haunting melodies and a voice that grips you from the first breath. His sound hints at Jeff Buckley and Chris Whitley, yet remains unmistakably his own - shaped in the streets of Ghent.

RAMAN. stands for raw emotion, a no-nonsense guitar sound, melancholic instrumental interludes, and a voice that never lets you go. RAMAN. flows on a wild current of emotion, carried by warm colours, disarming lyrics, and compelling melodies. Echoes of Chris Whitley and Jeff Buckley resonate through his music, but in the streets of Ghent he ultimately found his own voice - oscillating between light and shadow in his search for sincerity.

2018 was a pivotal year for RAMAN. As artist in residence at music club N9, he worked on his first EP Birth Of Joy, in collaboration with sound engineer Staf Verbeeck (Metal Molly, Selah Sue, Melanie De Biasio, Calexico). At the end of 2019, he presented that EP in a sold-out Minardschouwburg in Ghent.

The success reached national press and radio, and brought him to festivals such as Gent Jazz, Boomtown, Fonnefeesten, and Zebrawoods, as well as to some of the finest venues in the Low Countries (AB, Trix, De Roma, Het Depot, Paradiso, 013).

Since then, he has been working with producers such as Pascal Deweze (Metal Molly, Sukilove, Broken Glass Heroes) and Koen Gisen (An Pierlé, Meskerem Mees, The Bony King of Nowhere), under whose wing he recorded his first full album in 2025: I do (release on 9 January 2026).

Although I do is RAMAN.’s debut album, he has already built a strong live résumé. From the summer of 2021 onwards, he supported artists including Trixie Whitley, Novastar, Black Box Revelation, Kaiser Chiefs, and Bombino. In 2025, he toured across Europe both as a support act and as the temporary replacement for guitarist Raymond Geerts with Hooverphonic.
