For this year’s virtual Jazzahead! edition, VI.BE* and Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques joined forces again and presented to you: Belgium Booms. Despite the unusual times, our presence at Jazzahead! could certainly not be missed.

At our virtual Belgium Booms stand, you could meet & greet with many interesting delegates (Belgian managers, bookers, musicians, promotors, PR agents, labels & journalists). On our socials we put them in the spotlights, the weeks prior to the event.

Finally, we treated you with our video series ‘Get your shot of Belgian jazz with…’ in which five internationally renowned Belgian jazz delegates gave you an insight into the vivid, quirky Belgian jazz scene. Discover what characterizes the Belgian jazz scene, who are the bands to watch, what are their favorite corona releases, go-to events and much more:

Like always, Flanders & Wallonia operate hand in hand to support and promote Belgian artists abroad, and help them and their entourage to develop a sustainable international career. From this moment on, we will use our brand Belgium Booms to champion our entire music scene, no matter what genre.

Belgium Booms activities include organising network moments and speed meetings for professionals, facilitating professional delegations at music fairs, and promoting Belgian showcases with PR support and on- & offline promo campaigns.

Belgium Booms caters to international music professionals interested in discovering emerging Belgian talent. We can connect you with Belgian music professionals (artist managers, booking agents, festival programmers, venue promoters, label representatives, publishers, PR agents, …), and clarify the ins & outs of our remarkably distinctive music scene.

*In 2018 the Flemish Government gave the green light to extend the mission of VI.BE, formerly known as Poppunt. Instead of Kunstenpunt/Flanders Arts Institute, VI.BE is now the go-to organization for all non-classical genres on every level in Flanders & Brussels, and the point of contact for jazz, folk & world music.
