We're happy to announce the first edition of an ambitious project to blur the linguistic boundaries of Belgian jazz and invite each linguistic community to take a look at what's happening on the other side of the fence.

Together with Belgium Booms, the music platforms JazzLab and FAZZ (formerly known as Museact) are joining forces to present the cream of Belgian jazz from the other side of the language border to a wide audience: programmers and press from the opposite language border, together with a delegation of international jazz professionals (by invitation).

Four French-speaking jazz projects will take the stage at Leuven Jazz from March 19 to 21, 2025, while four Dutch-speaking bands will perform at the Gaume Jazz Festival on August 9 and 10. All have been selected from the winners of previous Call for Artists events in both linguistic communities.

This project is supported by the Cultural Administrations of Flanders and Wallonia (Cultuurculture).
